Our Mission

The ACCC (Annoor Cultural & Community Centre) Trust has been established to address many of the issues faced by most of the communities in Britain and the rest of the world today.

We are living in a time in history where we can see all of the world events and issues through the window of today's media, and thus have all witnessed, with our own eyes, the difficulties and challenges faced by so many groups of people. It is at times like these when we all must ask ourselves what kind of solutions can be provided to deal with these problems and who is responsible for providing them. The simple answer is that we all are.

We have established the ACCC Trust to build a platform that allows us to play an active role in building a community that responds to its people's needs and to create a central point contact for the community. We aim to build bridges and connect minds within our multi-cultural communities so that we can all benefit from each other and create a centre with the capacity for educating young minds and hearts towards working for a stronger more united community.

Based in West London, we are thus blessed to be within an area with a rich array of cultural backgrounds, each of which have a great deal to offer the community. It is within this context that we can harness the strengths of our individuals to power our community.

Such strengths have already been seen when we purchased our current premises on Church Road in Acton. It was by connecting the minds of the young boys in our community that we were able to carry out immediate construction work to allow the centre to become suitable for operation. We were able to use the collective skills and hands on experience to increase the building's capacity and install the essentials.

Since carrying out this work, by the will and grace of Allah, the centre has been thriving and is already filled with a vibrant, young cross-section of the community. We are already at the stage were it has become necessary to carry out further work to cater for the growing numbers and to provide the facilities that will enable us to implement the solutions we have envisaged.

We have also secured planning permission to carry out the required work, and with the launch of our unique fund raising scheme we have endeavoured to involve you all in our plans. We invite any and all of you to visit us see for yourselves what we can achieve by connecting minds.

Our Vision

Having moved into the building in December 2005, we found ourselves being approached by more people than ever before. This inspiring response has given the confidence to move forward with the next stage of our plans. The planning permission we obtained in April 2007 has allowed us to classify the Annoor Cultural & Community Centre as a place of worship, and so we are striving to increase its capacity to accomodate all the people attending the congregational prayers.

Our first responsibility is to our sisters in Islam. Our aim, by the will and grace of Allah, is to provide them with the very best of facilies. The space currently allocated to our sisters is neither adequate and respectful in light of their contribution to our comminity or society as a whole. The first stage of the centre's development will be to build a whole new Mezzanine level that will provide our sister's with both a seperate praying area complete with wudu (ablution), baby changing and WC facilities.

The scope of this construction work will also include the construction of a new wudu area for the brothers below, as the current ablution area is far from adequate for the brother coming to worship. So this old area will be demolished to make way for a new I.T. and information centre, and the current kitchen facilities will make way for a brand new cafeteria to provide a 100% halal menu offering a choice of cuisine as varied as the backgrounds of the brothers and sisters who attend our centre.

We will also be ensuring, insha'Allah, that we have adequate disabled parking facilities couple with full disabled access to the building's main and mezzanine floors.
